My heart is for sale. It’s been used, abused and torn apart.
It has scars, bruises and stretch marks.
It’s been blown, pierced and stepped upon.
It has track marks, clots and paint.
It has remains of others’ hearts.
It is been patched and stitched but is functioning just fine.
All the bruises make it hard to breathe sometimes but it’s working just fine.
There is a broken arrow in there, they say it belongs to a blind cupid, but it’s working just fine.
It may be crowded in there and you may have to share…but you will do just fine.
It suffers from sudden pangs and some anxiety but it’s working just fine.
It has a weakness against partings and its beats faint with reminiscence.
But it’s working just fine.
It might be too warm inside but you shouldn’t suffer much…you see, hearts are preferably warm than cold.
My heart is for sale but for a reasonable price.
You need to let it be, never force your way.
You have to keep it warm … never drift away.
You have to keep it close … never stay at bay.
It shall remain your most faithful companion and its love and devotion shall be unprecedented.
